IVF technology has been working for many years to bring happiness to couples who are unable to become parents due to fertility problems or have any kind of health-related problems. During the treatment through IVF technology, couples have to through some tests to determine the kind of treatment required. When couples are treated with IVF technology then all these treatments are done, So that you can know where the problem to conceive is.
So let’s know which the tests that are necessary before IVF are.
Blood hormone test
First of all, blood tests and hormone tests are performed. The blood test checks anemia and tests the concentration of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol (estrogen), and anti-mullerian during the first few days of your menstrual cycle. AMH test shows the process of formation of eggs in the Ovarian Reserve i.e. ovary. In conditions of low AMH, eggs are produced below average and their quality is not good.
Fallopian tube test
The primary process of conception takes place in the tube, so a tube test is essential. The USG test or Tubal Patency Test is done to look if the tube is open or not or if there is an infection. There will be a problem in conceiving when there is a disorder in the tube. IVF technique is effective in case of tube blockage.
Uterine examination
Before you begin IVF, your doctor will check the interior lining of your uterus. A sonohysterogram may be required. The endometrial lining and cavity can be seen with a transvaginal ultrasound scan, which has been utilised as a screening test for the uterine cavity. This test determines whether the uterus is functioning appropriately.
Ovarian Reserve Testing
Ovarian reserve testing allows doctors to help women predict their fertility potential. These tests can tell you how much time you have until you can conceive and how many eggs have reached an advanced stage of development.
ERA test
An ERA Test or Endometrial Receptivity Analysis claims to help women pursuing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) determine whether their endometrium is receiving an embryo at the right time in an attempt to maximize their chances of a successful pregnancy and live birth.
Prolactin and Thyroid Hormones
Thyroid hormone is essential for regular body metabolism, while prolactin is required for the production of breast milk. Challenges to conception are caused by abnormal amounts of these hormones. Drugs are required to correct these issues
Semen Evaluation
The basic parameters in semen evaluation include total count, shape, motility, and concentration of sperm. We can determine whether the patient requires advanced therapies such as ICSI (Intra Cytoplasm Sperm Injection) or basic techniques such as IUI based on these data.
