Endometriosis is a chronic disease. It occurs in two to ten percent of women in their fertile life phase. This percentage can rise to fifty percent in women with reduced fertility. Women with endometriosis often have symptoms and a significantly reduced quality of life, including limitation of normal activities, painful periods, pain during intercourse, discomfort, and anxiety/depression. Treatment and Diagnosis of endometriosis require medication and laparoscopy (surgery).
