Embryoscopy

Embryoscopy is the examination through an endoscope into the transabdominalof the embryo at 9-10 weeks’ gestation age. An Embryoscope is a kind of incubator that is used in an IVF laboratory. It comes with a video camera that helps to continuously record images of the development of the embryo.

Embryoscopy is capable of providing knowledge about embryonic development as well as provide a method for prenatal investigation of high-risk pregnancies for recurrent genetic disorders.
